A Yogini, Teacher, Writer, Masters in Computers, Podcast host and Coach

Sunita Patil has done ‘Master’s in Computers’ from the University of Pune. She has worked in the corporate world for a while. But let go of that path to pursue her calling, sharing the light of yoga. She also offers the most comprehensive yoga teachings and practices so participants can realize the wisdom within—bringing true happiness, freedom, and fulfillment to their lives.

Sunita has over 30 years of experience in the personal practice of yoga, and over the past 20 years, she has taught 1,000s of students worldwide (Australia, USA, and India).

Sunita has more than 15,000 hours of recorded yoga teaching experience.

She is renowned for her depth of understanding of the ancient language of yoga, Sanskrit. Sunita has taught Sanskrit to yoga teachers (and teachers in training)—translating the more sophisticated aspects of yoga philosophy that have been displaced in most of the contemporary yoga practices of today.

Sunita has combined her study and practice of yoga philosophy, contemporizing its application for people’s lives.

She sees a world where humanity promotes the love of wisdom, unity, and creative expression—where people honor their heart’s callings and support each other’s unique expressions.

Her studies are vast and sophisticated, including

“First word of Patanjali’s Yogasutra is ‘Atha’ . I think this word itself can tell us what yoga is. Atha can be loosely translated as ‘here or now’ . And yoga is all about being in ‘now’ being in the moment. Yoga also means being present and when we are ‘here’ that means we are present moment. Beauty of Sanskrit language is word and form are one and same. Let me explain: meaning of word Atha is here or now. When we pronounce ‘Atha’ we have to use inhalation on ‘aa’ sound and exhalation on “tha” sound. And only one now or here that exists or that is reality is this breath. Moment before that was past, moment after that will be future. What is reality is Atha or now .”
